The song is about a couple in the middle of a breakup who both can’t get over the relationship. It represents how two people can both be feeling the same emotion but from very different perspectives. Hatim talks about how he can’t get over Tissa and still has strong feelings for her - he’s haunted by what could have been and the potential for them to reconcile. On the other hand, Tissa is staying firm in that the end of the relationship was a good thing but is still haunted by the pain of the breakup.
It’s a song about two people meeting in the middle in a way that is painful to them both.
